Beyond the Fiords and Into The Snares of the Subantarctic
Another incredible day in the Subantarctic Islands as Heritage Adventurer made anchorage at the Snares Island late in the morning.
Anchoring by the southern side of North East Island, we enjoyed an exciting Zodiac cruise to Ho Ho Bay for some incredible observations of Snares Crested Penguins as well as New Zealand Fur Seals and Hooker's/New Zealand Sea Lions.
Cruising around the coves and sea caves also allowed us to also spot a Snares Island Tomtit. By the afternoon we were sailing north for Stewart Island/Rakiura.
