Walking alongside Komodo Dragons
It was a bucket-list adventure this morning as we were up early to visit Komodo Island, the home of Komodo Dragons. Arriving at this remote sanctuary, we were immediately greeted by a Komodo Dragon on the beach. During our 5-kilometre walk of the sanctuary, we saw 12 Komodo Dragons - the largest lizard in the world. The bird life was also outstanding in the early morning light before it got too hot.
After marvelling at these prehistoric-looking creatures, we re-positioned to Pink Beach for a fantastic morning of snorkelling on a wonderful coral reef. Exploring the idyllic blue waters, we observed a range of marine life, including Green Turtles and Manta Rays.
