Enjoying blue skies and sunshine at Hidden Island
Our Kimberley Explorer voyage started at Hidden Island this morning with glorious sunshine and an alfresco breakfast. There were two options to spend the day, a rocky headland walk or time at the beach on Hidden Island. The Kimberley Coast is not known for its swimming options, but with the Expedition Team on Croc Watch and in a safe and secluded spot, we could enjoy wading in the warm water. Those on the walk enjoyed stretching their legs, finding their footing along the sandstone, and enjoying the vistas and views as we walked to the peak of the headland.
The afternoon was our last Zodiac cruise. Taking advantage of the superb weather, we enjoyed exploring the coves and bays at Hidden Island and the nearby islets, featuring more stunning geological formations and cave systems complete with bats. The weather was glorious all day, with blue skies and sunshine.
Back on board the comforts of Heritage Adventurer in the late afternoon, we took some time for whale watching, observing four Humpback Whales in the setting sun.
