Adventures on Stewart and Ulva Islands
Sunshine and a full itinerary on Stewart and Ulva Islands made for an excellent start to our Unseen Fiordland, Stewart Island and The Snares voyage.
Calm sea and perfect weather greeted guests when they woke this morning to watch the sun rise over Stewart Island. After a hearty breakfast it was out exploring where we took in the incredible wildlife and unrestrained nature of these remarkable islands.
Seeing the native birdlife flourishing during a guided walk on predator free Ulva Island courtesy of Ulva Goodwillie and her excellent team was a highlight, after which we explored Stewart Island's quirky town Oban - with some even indulging in an afternoon beverage at the iconic South Sea Hotel.
