Meet You at the top: Majestic views at Mitchel Falls and Porosus Creek

It was a chilly start in the Kimberley this morning as Heritage Adventurer settled near the mouth of the Hunter River ahead of another epic expedition day. Our scenic 0620 helicopter flight to the world-famous Mitchell Falls was an awe-inspiring and unforgettable thrilling experience as we took in the grand majesty of this ancient landscape in a chopper with no doors. Emotions ran high from being immersed in these truly wild surrounds while the late wet season ensured the three-tiered waterfalls put on a terrific show. In between explorations many took the opportunity to cool off. 

Meanwhile, those of us who chose not to visit the Falls were in full chatter about their morning Zodiac cruise along the Kimberley's ecologically important and pristine Porosus Creek. Guests came across a commercial Barramundi fishing vessel which had attracted the attention of some hungry crocodiles. One of our Zodiacs even took on an extra finned guest when a spritely 'Barra' evading a crocodile's jaws leapt into photographer and guide Steve's Zodiac almost knocking him over. After some commotion the feisty fish was safely released and the afternoon's Zodiac cruise remained peacefully atmospheric.
