Spirit of Enderby arrives in Lyttelton

Spirit of Enderby arrives in Lyttelton, I.Wilson, Heritage Expeditions

After 29 days at sea, Heritage Expeditions flagship Spirit of Enderby/Professor Khromov arrived in the Port of Lyttelton this morning.

Our arrival marked a trifecta of firsts as the first passenger vessel to be granted an exemption by the New Zealand Government and arrive in the country this summer. Spirit of Enderby is also the first ship to utilise Lyttelton's new $67 million cruise ship berth, 10-days ahead of its official opening on 25 November, and was docked by New Zealand's first, and only, female marine pilot - Captain Joanne Laing.

Spirit of Enderby will undergo some maintenance in Lyttelton in preparation of our upcoming Southern Ocean season before departing for Bluff to start our new voyage 'Unseen Fiordland and Stewart Island' on 24 November.
