Setting Sail for Beyond Fiordland
Sailing into Bluff under the cover of darkness we enjoyed a farewell breakfast aboard Spirit of Enderby with expeditioners on our ‘Galapagos of the Southern Ocean' before saying our goodbyes and sending them off on their next adventure.
It was then time for our hardworking expedition team and crew to prep the ship and get her ready for voyagers on our legacy expedition ‘Beyond Fiordland: New Zealand's Wildest Islands. Joined by Forest & Bird's Canterbury West Coast Regional Manager Nicky Snoyink, this journey explores New Zealand's Auckland, Campbell, Stewart and Ulva Islands as well as The Snares and into Fiordland.
With all guests welcomed on board and settled into their cabins, we set sail in the late afternoon with grey clouds threatening to rain bound for our first stop - Campbell Island.
