Ice Seal Evening
After an amazing morning at Iony Island we cruised the ice edge looking for wildlife. Just as we were finishing dinner, Expedition Leader Nathan Russ spotted a Ribbon Seal very close to the ship. As the evening light was perfect for photography we quickly launched the Zodiacs and were amazed to be able to approach within 10 metres of this very obliging seal. Take a look at how close we got to this magnificent animal. It was a delightful end to a beautiful day.
