First Captive Spoon-billed Sandpiper Eggs In History

"...we have the great pleasure to tell you that WE HAVE EGGS, the first captive Spoon-billed Sandpiper eggs in history."
WWT Slimbridge.

This is another great forwards step in the quest to save this species from extinction - there still a long way to go but we must celebrate every success along the way.

Heritage Expeditions is a long-standing Species Champion for the Spoon-billed Sandpiper providing support for the conservation of this critically endangered species.   Several of the Russian Far East expeditions aboard the expedition ship Spirit of Enderby / Professor Kromov venture into the region of the conservation efforts and offer possible sightings of the Spoon-billed sandpiper.
