Birding at the Edge of the World - South Indian Ocean

At a distance of 4,500km SW of Perth, Australia in the South Indian Ocean lies Heard and McDonald Islands.  As well as the location of Australia's only active volacanoes, and it's highest peak Big Ben, the islands teem with wildlife.

Inger Vandyke's shares her voyage experience on the Birdlife Australia webpage.
